Sherwood Guernsey, Attorney at Law, has over 25 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on business transactions, estate planning, and real estate.
● Estate Planning

● Real Estate
In the area of real estate law, he handles the simplest residential purchases, sales and refinancing, to complex subdivisions, land trust transfers and conversions to cooperatives or condominiums.
His commitment to assisting individuals and businesses, and special expertise in dealing with government agencies, is supported by the four (4) terms he served as a member of the House of Representatives for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. From 1995 through 1997, Mr. Guernsey gained valuable Washington experience and experience in running a large governmental department, with all kinds of contracting and personnel matters, from his appointment as Director of Domestic Programs, a senior staff position for the Peace Corps in Washington, D.C. Matthew J. McDonough, Attorney at Law, focuses his practice in the areas of civil litigation, insurance and business law, and immigration. Mr. McDonough has represented numerous clients in diverse civil and commercial disputes, including insurance, personal injury, business, and real estate. He has extensive experience litigating cases involving the Massachusetts Consumer Protection Statute. In addition, since coming to the Berkshires after having practiced law in Boston, Mr. McDonough has represented several local businesses in complex transactions involve long term leases, construction financing, and local permitting. Mr. McDonough has also handled a variety of immigration matters for clients from around the globe.
Mr. McDonough graduated from Stonehill College, magna cum laude, in 1994 and received his J.D., cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School in 1998, where he served as Production Editor of the Law Review. Mr. McDonough was admitted to practice law in Massachusetts in 1998, and is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Holly Rogers, Attorney at Law, brings a comprehensive background to the firm. She is a 1998 cum laude graduate of Suffolk University Law School, where she served on the international law journal and The Transnational Law Review. Ms. Rogers practiced exclusively in the Boston area before joining the firm in 2007. She possesses a strong background in estate planning and probate administration as well as diverse civil matters, including business transactions, evictions, business organization, residential and commercial real estate matters, consumer fraud, and related litigation. She will be concentrating her practice in probate administration and in the preservation, protection and management of assets and estates through cutting edge estate planning techniques.
